Quality Contractors, LTD was formed in 1997 by Theresa Cox. The construction company performed interior finish out services primarily for small commercial and residential projects. In 1998 the company became certified as a Female/Native American Minority Owned Business. The same year Quality Contractors LTD was awarded a long-term contract with Texas Instruments in Dallas, creating a foothold in the semi-conductor industry with clients that followed to include Raytheon Systems, Dallas Semi-conductor, ST Microelectronics, and many others. The company hired its first electricians in late 1998, including James (J.D.) Dunn (Partner 2002-2016), to add to its base of carpenters and was subsequently awarded its first electrical clean room project at Texas Instruments’ Kilby 5K Expansion Project in 1999. Quality Contractors LTD installed more than 2,000 tools in clean rooms across the metroplex while also expanding its project base to include a wide variety of clients such as Experian, TXU/Cap Gemini, Abbott Laboratories, The University of Texas Southwest Medical Center and Super Bowl XLV. In house services grew over the years to include not just Carpentry and Electrical but also many phases of interior finish out, scaffolding services, facilities maintenance and General Contracting. Because the construction industry requires a high level of planning, Quality Contractors LTD developed near flawless processes and procedures to ensure projects ran as smoothly as possible and came in on time and under budget. All phases of our construction services required a complex purchasing and billing department, strong vendor/manufacturer relationships along with inventory, logistics, delivery and warehousing functions, therefore a progression was begun in the pursuit into the supply chain management industry. In 2008 the company was awarded a 5-year contract with the Department of Energy at the Nuclear Plant in Amarillo, Texas to provide management, administrative and operational (including facilities and inventory), and logistical efforts in the form of a Just In Time contract supplying the facility with maintenance, repair and operating materials.
Native Nations Procurement Systems, Inc. was formed in 2008 to provide Manufacturing / Fabrication and Supply Chain Management / Procurement services. The company was led by an executive team whose expertise was in the same Construction industries with a heavy influence in the mechanical trades including manufacturing and fabrication.
In 2010 Theresa Cox and J.D. Dunn (former Partner), purchased majority interest in Native Nations Procurement Systems, Inc. This merger effectively combined multi-level construction knowledge, the vendor/buyer relationships, volume pricing, streamlined cost and logistical and warehouse solutions.
